[Dx4win] RX Audio Levels in PSK31 Mode

I'm in the final stages of a comprehensive station functional
checkout after installing a new K3 in my primary station. Last night
I finally got around to trying PSK31 and everything seems to work, BUT...

For some reason DX4WIN really needs a big honkin' audio signal to do
anything with PSK. MMTTY, either from within or from outside DX4WIN,
has plenty of sensitivity and MixW is OK as well. I haven't yet
checked N1MM. I'm using a microHAM Microkeyer II with a built-in
sound card. For everything but DX4WIN PSK31 I only need to set its
level pot to about 9:00 and I have plenty of signal. To get decent
audio in the DX4WIN PSK window I need to turn it up to around 3:00.
At first I thought the problem was a sound card configuration issue,
but everything checked out and I finally turned up the input and
there the signals were.

Has anyone else noticed anything else like this? I wonder if it's a
feature of the PSKCore.dll engine that DX4WIN uses for this mode.
This is far from a problem, just a puzzling thing that I don't have a
real explanation for. Is it unique to my station or has this been
seen before? This is NOT something unique to Version 8.01. I checked
and it acts exactly the same way with 7.07, which uses a slightly
earlier version of pskcore.dll.

BTW, aside from the minor issues that have already been reported,
Version 8.01 continues to run like a train here. It runs 24-7 on my
station computer and controls the radio flawlessly when I turn it on.
I really like the band map, although a few of the enhancements that
have suggested here previously would certainly be welcome.
