[Dx4win] Simplicity! Craving Simplicity!

All,

Been playing around with V8...and all seems well for all the basic and
enhanced functions...a few minor glitches...but managed to work around
them.... I do, however, have a few observations...

1. Why did we make it so darn difficult to update the LOTW member
database?...a simple "Import LOTW Members", which could be set to an
automatic update interval (days, weeks, months)...the link could be changed
in the Preferences in case the current keeper of LOTW members changes...

Having to go to a link, then saving the link in "Save", then setting up a
Member list should be automated... not manual and would probably eliminate
many user errors and keep our DX4WIN databases up to date....

The same can be said for the IOTA list...and the AD1C Country list
(.cty)...after Jim sends out notification of an update, a simple click on
"Update .CTY" could retrieve and update our databases....

Why can't this be simple!? And user friendly?

2. The QSO window now has a lot more information displayed...a good
thing...but too much maybe too much...for instance, I will probably never
use eQSL but in order to see the LOTW field, I am forced to see the expanded
QSO window with eQSL (F5)...the goes for QTH, IOTA, freq, etc...

Why can't this be simple!? And user friendly?

Again, I am a newbie on version 8...and maybe I am missing something....I
enjoy some of the enhancements...but at times I think I am still on the
"Command Prompt" of MS DOS...circa 1985... when I need to do something other
than simply entering a QSO!

Please no flames...consider the above to be positive suggestions to make
DX4WIN better. Jim and Guy have done an **OUTSTANDING** job in helping us
through the upgrade....and a sincere thanks to them for their efforts...

I am just craving simplicity!....
