[Dx4win] Some differences in DXCC summary after upgrade

Alain,

I have just completed the upgrade from v7.07 to v8.01, and also noticed
minor differences between my DXCC summary charts. The good news is that all
of the v8.01 numbers are accurate, but I had to examine the v7 and v8 tables
to determine what activities were being counted differently.

It seems that Paul made changes as he modified DX4Win's architecture to
accommodate the different types of QSL activities (paper, LoTW, eQSL). For
example: in v7, a QSO that was uploaded to LoTW but not mailed was placed in
the DXCC Summary Report in the "Worked". After mailing a QSL, that QSO would
move to the v7 "QSL Mailed" column. However, in v8, that same QSO would
initially be in the "Worked" column, and would move to a re-named DXCC "QSL
Sent" column when you upload to LoTW _or_ mail a QSL. In my log, several
QSOs that had been uploaded to LoTW in v7 and were still listed as only
"Worked" are now listed as "QSL Sent" in v8. I spent more-than-a-little time
chasing the differences between my DXCC v7 and v8 charts to make sure
everything was still accurate (which it is).

You also may have noticed that the "ValidDX" field in v7 is gone, replaced
by an expanded table at the bottom of the QSO window with the drop-down
letter "I" for invalid. This is where I record QSOs with Pirates or QSOs in
which the DX station informs me that I am Not-In-Log (rather than deleting
the QSOs). I had 42 QSOs in v7 marked as "Invalid", and all of those QSOs
are now marked with "I" in the DXCC column chart at the bottom.

I hope this explanation helps and assist you in finding differences in your
DXCC tables.
