[Dx4win] native Elecraft radio support

I have an Elecraft K2 that is now 8 years old.
When it was new, there weren't many K2 rigs out there. Today, however, there are well over 6,000 others like it!
The new K3 has a multi-month backlog of orders. I've used one -- and can't wait for mine to arrive. It may be just as well, since the well-north-of $3k price tag will take some time to get ready for!
So, the Elecraft line is, by any account, a popular radio, and not inexpensive as such things go. This is an active market of enthusiastic users, and seems like it would be a good pool of new users to pursue.
Sadly, I see that with the latest version V7.03, Elecraft's interface is not yet natively supported by DX4WIN. Because of this omission, many, perhaps most Elecraft users, have migrated towards logging programs that do have such support. However, I don't find them to be as useful to me as DX4WIN is, and I have heard this from others as well. Like I said, an untapped market.
The Kenwood 850 radio definition allows the use of most, but not all, of the Elecraft interface capabilities. (It is a superset of the Kenwood command set.) That's how I use the rig now with DX4WIN. While I'm not a programmer, it does seem like this sound basis, plus the clear documentation available from Elecraft, would allow a rapid creation of a native radio support selection.
Provided this technical assumption is true, is there any plan to make such a native-support capability available?
