[Dx4win] ICOM 756 pro 3 not wanting to talk to dx4win

Hi folks, 

A local ham here has dx4win 6.02.  He has a ic756 pro 3 and is having problems with connecting the rig to the dx4win program.  It fails to make any effort at communication at all.  I had a look through the archives and see this has been an issue before but we tried to use the suggestions made in past threads but not joy as yet.

Anyone out there got a screen shot of the settings in the preferences for the ic756 pro3 that works. (I appreciate that com port may be different)

He is trying to run the rig via a serial port which has the ct17 connected to it.  OS is Windows XP.  I seem to remember someone in the past having a problem with serial ports and XP but couldnt find this in the archives.  Any suggestions to check the functioning of it.

Any help much appreciated, as I use an MP and not familiar with the 756.
