Thanks for your comments Jim, I am using 2 LPT ports, one for Guy's band
decoder and the other for ARSWIN. Both only work under LPT's. I cannot rely
on the signal being read directly from my Pro II to the band decoder, the
voltages aint right, so it has to be parallel.
Looks like I'll have to use up one (of only 2!) PCI expansion slots with a
double LPT ports.

I tried one once for a printer with a parallel interface, but it never
seemed
to work right.
- if your printer doesn't have a USB port, throw it out and get one that
does.
- if you are using the LPT port for CW, switch to COM port CW keying. The
USB-to-COM devices seem to be be more reliable. Search the RTTY reflector
archives ( http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/rtty/ ), I think
there's a Belkin device that people seem to like (and it does FSK keying as
one
would expect).
