I tried one once for a printer with a parallel interface, but it never seemed
to work right.
- if your printer doesn't have a USB port, throw it out and get one that does.
- if you are using the LPT port for CW, switch to COM port CW keying. The
USB-to-COM devices seem to be be more reliable. Search the RTTY reflector
archives ( http://lists.contesting.com/mailman/listinfo/rtty/ ), I think
there's a Belkin device that people seem to like (and it does FSK keying as one
would expect).
