I was unable to use my Dymo Labelwriter 400 with DX4WIN because the printer
driver forces a mandatory 0.25" (6.3 mm) left margin when printing in the
landscape mode (this is what killed my particular custom label). This
equates to a similar mandatory 0.25" (6.3 mm) top margin when printing in
the portrait mode.

To try to clarify the landscape/portrait stuff, when the printed label tape
begins to exit the printer, the first edge of the label to appear is the
bottom in portrait mode. As the label fully exits the printer, the last
edge to exit is the top in portrait mode. It is this last edge to exit
that requires the mandatory 0.25" (6.3 mm) white space from the edge to the
start of printing.

I have spoken at length with Dymo Tech Support and this is simply an
undocumented "feature" that cannot be changed.

I bought the printer so I could print QSL labels, but with more experience
with the device it is clear to me that it would have been a pain to change
back and forth between QSL and address labels. I use the printer now
strictly for address labels. For the QSLs I use 8.5" x 11" label sheets
and have learned how to easily print off only one or two at a time.
