Mark,

Although DX4WIN will not auto-connect to a telnet connection, you can modify
the DX4WIN.TCP file to life nicer. Using "Notepad" (or any other text
editor), open the file and put your favorite cluster site(s) at the top.
Then, when the <Select Internet address> dialog box opens, the cursor will
be positioned on your favorite site and you only have to press the <Enter>
key to proceed.

The first three lines of my TCP file look like this -- I added underscores
in line 3 to make my two favorites even more obvious in the TCP list.

Subject: [Dx4win] Internet / Cluster - Telnet selection setup

   Hi=ll,

Can I have DX4Win save the address= use most often for Internet /
   Telnet
connection? Would like to be=able to have dx4win connect to the
   cluster
on startup. I realize I=would have to be dialed up and already
   connected to
   the internet.

Oh and I noticed if one isn't setup when=ou click connect, a small
   box comes up with
message -> No=onnection active. Should I happen to change my mind at
   this
point and=lick cancel or close, I end up in a loop and have to exit
   dx4win via
task-manager in WinXP. If I click .. say close, I get a box that reads
   -=n exception
occurred. I click OK on that error message box and get=nother box
   that reads - The
destination address is required. I=lick OK and get the other box
   back again. This is
   a loop.

   Thanks

   Mark - ve9ts
