[Dx4win] Country Database

Tony,

I've been with DX4WIN since version 1.0 and there is nothing better. I can
accept the idea that you are not overly computer literate and you find it
frustrating.

The whole idea of the reflector is to exchange data and solve problems. I
can't tell you how many people's logs I've converted from other programs to
DX4WIN over the past 5 years. Someone may have a current 4.0 COUNTRY.DAT
file they can send you, but you can't just replace your existing file with
it because each person's country file is unique to them.

To fix your K1B issue, all you have to do is open the log, find the K1B QSO,
tab to the country field, type KH1, and press F10--the program will modify
the COUNTRY.DAT file for you.

Once I get settle into my new home next week, I'd be willing to load version
4 on another machine and take a look at your log and country file. (Paul,
can I still download 4?). In the long run, it will probably be easier to
upgrade to version 5.

73 de Tom, K4NR

instructions on how to fix my own country file for K1B. I have no interest
in learning this; my file is probably out-of-date on 27 other countries and
prefixes; and even if I got this one in, I'd forget how to do it by the next
time I needed to do it.

better than) DX4WIN, AND HAS A WEB PAGE WHERE I CAN GET DATABASE UPDATES!!!
