[Dx4win] New Computer - Which Windows to use?

Wonder what "chipset" the motherboard was using?????  It's sure not to
the Athlon!  Regarding memory, Pete, it is actually VERY high right now,
basically twice as much as I month ago.  256mb DDR ram is now
$70.00!!!!!  Still memory overall (for what you get, i.e. bang for the
buck) is cheap.

These things sure aren't appliances yet, are they?  Just by contrast,  I
replaced the motherboard in my wife's machine with a 900 MHz Athlon and
had
zero problems.  FWIW, www.tigerdirect.com has some very inexpensive
motherboard and CPU bundles, and memory is so cheap right now it's a
great
time to upgrade.
