Hi John,
I have an Icom 706MKIIG which I have had on the air
since last November. I've worked over 60 countries
with it so far and it performs well. I run it through
an LDG auto tuner into a Carolina Windom antenna which
I have mounted as an inverted V with the peak at 45
feet. I have an optional SSB filter (1.9 Mhz)in it
but don't use it often. I use it only for SSB and
have nopt run any CW. I am very pleased with the
performance for the money spent.
Hope this helps.
