I would say I am a logging program freak, I have
a lot of the commerical programs, LogEQF, etc.
One of my 'wants,' is a computerized program with
which I can enter a call sign, the computer will
tell me where the caller is, and turn my beam to
that bearing, BUT, that's another story.
One of the best logging programs I have ever
found was recently recommended to me by a DXer in
Colorado, it includes things like online packet
notifications, log (of course) and even
'chatting' with other DXers online IN the
program.
It's called XMlog, at where else, xmlog.com. It
has a bunch of features and you can even, if you
find a better program at a later date, download
in into that format. Luckily I was able to
operate this in reverse and download my combined
logs from WINLOG and LogEQF, into it, so I did
not lose 20 years+ of DXing info.
Hope this helps, I am in Saudi Arabia, but will
retire and next year move back to my home QTH in
Florida,
73 ALL,
Dave, AL7HG
