Hi John,
Thought I would give you my experience in this line. Each of these
things made a noticeable difference in my station. I would estimate that the
difference was about the same in each case.
1. Going from a vertical to a beam.
2. Going from a beam at 40 feet to a beam at 75 feet.
3. Going from running barefoot to running with an amplifier.
Reception seemed to be noticeably improved when I got the beam higher
in the air, as well as for working the DX.
