[Dx-qsl] Where's The Rhythm?

I'm wondering if two other things might be leading to the unruliness of
recent pileups.
I spent much time listening to the K9W and T33A pileups the first day. Some
of the most obnoxious callers were those in the CQ DX Marathon competition.
[It was much the same for 7O2A during CQWW DX contest.] If you are going to
win, you can't miss anything, so keep calling and calling until you get in
the log.
The bigger competition is the ClubLog LeaderBoard. Most of the guys in that
list don't need the country for any band/mode slot. It is just an ego thing
to see your call at the top of the list. But, it has gotten worse. One
local has K9W on 19 slots. That's fine, but he has also worked them using
his wife's call and a club call. Is that really necessary? It sure makes it
more difficult for the Little Pistols to even get into the log.
Do these LeaderBoard guys support the DXpeditions? I rarely see their calls
on the supporter pages or the membership lists of the various DX groups.
