[Dx-qsl] US Postal System - Beware of the NIXIE

For years I've had to put the area of the world on the last line of DX envelopes since apparently the USPS or NIXIE doesn't know where countries are in the world.  I've gotten back many air mail envelopes where the USPS couldn't forward them because it didn't know where many countries were, despite the fact they are mentioned in the USPS International Mail Manual with all kinds of rates, etc.  

That doesn't include the ones like Reunion Island I have to address as Reunion, FRANCE with the French postal code, rather than Reunion Island, which at one time went through Senegal and usually ended up pilfered.
