[Dx-qsl] Envelopes

Tom, the reason you don't see blue/red airmail envelopes from stateside is
that nobody produces them over here, or if they do, not that I've run across
in the last 8 years or so. Our two biggest national stationers are Staples
and Office Depot and neither have these in stock (nor do I think you can
even order them via catalogue). Likewise bulk shops like Costco don't sell
them either. Considering a 500-pack of #10 business envelopes at Costco
sells for $10 and a box of 50 #6-34 size sells for $2 at Staples, that's the
reason these are so prevalent in QSLing.

hi ron the uk postal limit for 1 card is 10 gramms which equates to 
about 0.35 ounces or near.   so sometimes i get a big manilla type 
envelope which puts it over the weight limit and above what i get for 1 
IRC,  so in these cases i trim the envelopes.   i just wish everybody 
would use airmail blue type envelopes at least tomeurope where the mail is
95% safe
