I have received a message from a fellow ham that has just visited with Robert, 3B9FR, on Rodrigues Island. The good news is he is there and alive. The bad news is that health problems are keeping him from operating, and answering QSL's. All his equipment is intact, but it is a true physical effort for him to operate at this time. Please pass on the message that no more cards should be sent until further notice. This health situation has been evident for a number of years, and requires specialty care. This is why over the past several years responses have not been forthcoming.

Robert has promised to keep in touch with that individual, and will let us know if things change. The decline of propagation, and the additional effort needed to control pileups has not helped. If there is an ENT ham out there that might wish to assist, please contact me. Possibly Robert might be open to working with a fellow ham.

I wish I had better news, but at least Robert is still there and able to be with his family.

73 to all...
