[Dx-qsl] QSLs from AP2JZB and EP2SMH

I worked AP2JZB in 2002. The problems I had was receiving his reply. I had
managed to contact him through email (don't remember how I got it) and we
were able to determine that they were not getting here for some reason I
still do not know. However, he was able to get his card to me along with
about 4 other USA stations and I relayed them. The "trip time" from Pakistan
to the USA was not very long. I think it took a week, maybe two to finally
get here.

Being that I received the cards 4 years ago I don't know if the email
address is still valid. zeby77 at cyber.net.pk

As I am writing this I found one of the emails I received from Bob on Sept.
12, 2004. Maybe this could shed some light.

Dear Ed,
Thanks for QSL-Card received with 2$&SAE.I am surprised to know that U did
NOT
receive even my last QSL-Card sent direct to U & also via W3HNK.I just
cannot
fathum the reasons for my Cards(4/5?!)NOT reaching U.U have also wasted so
much
money & efforts in sending many Cards & Msgs which is very
upsetting!!Well...I am
NOT going to give-up so easily my efforts to ensure that my Card reaches U
come
what may!!I will post QSL-Card on 09 Sep 04 direct to U and will also send
Cards for
U via NJ6P & N7EL;I will request Leon & El to send Cards to U by convenient
way!!
It should take about 20 days for Cards to reach USA,so U could also check
with these
Hams!If U do NOT get Card/s by End Sep04,please info via Msg & I will send
another
lot of Cards!!Sorry Ed for this inordinate delay in confirming our
Contact,but I hope U
do NOT blame me for this!!It will give me immence pleasure when I receive ur
Msg
confirming receipt of my QSL-Card!! Best wishes & warm regards,
Bob.(AP2JZB).

hi Dick --

By the time a person sends several direct attempts, it would have been
better in the long run to have sent registered mail in the first place.

You might want to organize group mailings for your two stations and split
the cost of the registered with the number of participants. I would join
you for the AP2.

I've organized group mailings for South America and Registered Mail has a
better shot of getting through, although nothing is ever guaranteed.
