To all you flamers:
If this was meant to be a shot at me for my posting, it only serves to
show me you (and others) are not capable of reading what has been said:
I will make this as simple as I possibly can.
1. Not once, on any posting, have I seen anyone say the efforts of K3ZO
were not appreciated or not necessary.
2. Personally, I'm delighted that he is willing to make such an effort
to keep us informed. It's a job that is very much unappreciated and
unfortunately. remains thankless .
What you flamers are unable to recognize is that it is only the _manner_
in which the information is provided that can be annoying to some, and
nothing more than that. In my posting and in ever posting I have read
on this subject by others, that and only that, is what is being said.
In a nutshell, the problem that is causing some annoyance, is that there
is a separate posting for each callsign that is causing a problem in
QSLing. So if there were 10 such problems encountered and Fred was
letting us know, then there would be 10 separate postings. That was his
way of accomplishing his goal and sending us information. Remember, you
can't please everyone. There are a lot of hams who do not care nor
desire such information. They have the right to choose, same as you do.
What I posted in an effort to settle everyone down and still have Fred
send the information to us without causing someone to become annoyed,
was to save up all the notifications for the day or the week (whatever
would be best), then put them all on _one posting_ and send it to the
reflector. That way, you get all the notices and they are gathered all
together for you, and for the others, there is only the one posting
every day (again, whatever frequency is best) so there will not be a
high number of separate postings each day.
I can't make it any simpler than that. I think it's a win-win situation
all around. You get all the notices, the others only see one notice per
day and Fred's work is cut down a bit because only one posting is
required that will contain all the information.
Now, tell me where I'm wrong. Why won't this work??
Fred, if you are reading this, would you please offer me your opinion?
Regards,
Tru (VE6TP)
