[Dx-qsl] Vlad UA4WHX Cards

Rich,

I have "shelled out" just under a hundred bucks in trying to get four cards 
from Vlad for contacts dating back to 2005.   After sending cards several 
times (self addressed envelopes and numerous "green stamps") for four 
countires and not receiving any response,   I took the advise he wrote when 
you pull up his call on QRZ.com. and sent him the following email in early 
March:

Vlad,

I worked you from the following locations when you were on your Africa trips 
in 2005-7.

I have sent some cards, but fear that since I sent "green stamps", you most 
likely did not receive them.

In any case, rather than re-send all the cards, I would just as soon make a 
direct donation to your efforts using my credit card or Pay Pal to you.   I 
noticed in your QRZ.com list you said to contact you for the details.

I then contributed 25 bucks to his PayPal acct and sent him the following 
email:

Vladimir,

I just sent you a $25 donation for your DXPedition efforts via PayPal to the 
address you gave me (payment at svezhyveter.ru).   Below is the list of QSO's 
that I would like to get confirmed from your Africa trips. Same call as my 
email address (K8ZTT).

I had sent you a couple of cards in the past via the mail service with cash 
donations inside each.   From what you have written in your QRZ.COM listing, 
it sounds like there was a high probability that none ever reached you!   At 
least with PayPal, I don't have to worry about mail theft!!

On May 8th I sent him the following email:

Vlad,

Wanted to get back in touch with you and let you know that as of today (8 
May) I have not received the QSL cards that were going to be mailed on 30 
Mar 09.  The address you have is correct; and I would have though that if 
they were mailed on the 30th of Mar, they would be here by now.

On May 19th I sent him another email:

Vladimir,

Getting back in touch to let you know that as of 19 May 09, I have not 
received the QSL cards that you were going to have your manager send to me 
on 30 Mar (see below emails).   I was talking to Bernie (W3UR) at the Dayton 
Hamvention and he told me to send you an email and let you know that I had 
not received the cards from the contacts I made with you on your Africa 
DXpeditions (see emails below).

Getting back in touch in regard to the following emails we have exchanged, 
and you sending me the QSL cards for the QSO' s we had while you where in 
some of the African countires you have operated from.

As of 25 May 2009 I have not received the cards yet;  I am hoping that you 
can check into the status of them.  The address you have below is the 
correct one for me.

As of today (12 Aug 09), I have not had received any cards nor have I  any 
responses to any of the emails concerning the status of my cards.   You 
might want to try sending him a donation; but maybe 50 bucks or 100 bucks 
would work??

In any case, from what I have picked up on the reflector, cards seem to 
filter out;  hopefully you are young enough and not dead by the time yours 
might show up!
