I agree with you up to a certain point. If the manager says "you must 
send 3USD because of postal rates" knowing that he will post from 
somewhere else, i don't fell it's fair. OK it's still better to feed the 
manager (or the expedition) than the post !

BTW the C56X & 5A7A cards i received yesterday from DL9USA (thanks !) 
were also posted from Czech republik. The cost was 11 CZK (approx 0,4€) 
a lot cheaper than DL rates (would have been 0,7€). As i sent 1 IRC, i 
think it's perfectly OK and congratulates the inventive manager that 
found a good way to save a little money on stamps to help funding the 
expedition.
