Hello Vladimir,

I am sorry that you are not happy with that statement. I do not believe that we
have to justify that broad statement, by researching what every other QSL
Bureau's policy is, with regards to uncollected cards.

In days prior to the internet, clubs used to place adverts in the Radio
magazines advising their members and ex members, that prepaid envelopes must be
received by a certain date, or the cards would be destroyed.

I do not know what the "current" policy is in the UK with the RSGB Bureau, but
in the past several of their sub managers have published a deadline date, for
people to send in envelopes to collect their outstanding cards. The sub managers
have not had the storage space at their homes to store cards going back a long
time. Many cards held by their bureau sub managers were not wanted by their
recipients, so envelopes were never submitted.

I suspect that some of their sub managers do have thousands of cards, that they
are reluctant to throw in the bin.

I wonder what very large organisations like the ARRL do, with what must be a
huge mountain of unwanted cards each year. If they keep all their cards, they
must have huge storage facilities?.

I am truly sorry if this reply is not an acceptable answer your sensitive views
on this subject.
