Yes, one reason is the coin outlasts the paper, so the govt.saves money,
using coins.
Coins last in circulation 4x that of paper, which averages abt 4 yrs.
Besides like the gambling casinos went from coin to paper. Who wants to be
bogged down with the extra weight of coins?
