HaHa. You seem to acknowledge that the ARRL is a business first and
foremost. As such they are subject to the laws on monopoly and restraint
of trade against a competitor. I agree, i thought hams were supposed to
act like gentlemen!! There is far too much of the opposite in this
country.
I intend to take the "nice approach" first. To build a very secure
electronic system for exchanging qsl cards. Which I hope many hams will
try and endorse. Then I will make my case to the ARRL to open up their
rules to accomodate me. If they decide to maintain their rules for the
sole purpose of maintaining their monopoly, then i will need to consider
legal action in federal court to resolve the issue. I hope that i do not
need to go this route. But if the ARRL maintains their position that the
only form of (acceptable) electronic submission is via their own LOTW I
feel confident that a court might see otherwise.
