Regarding:

"What is not being said is that there is NO way to tell if a card was
printed and delivered thru the mail or via MyQSL. So how can it be
rejected?"

That is not necessarily true. Most QSL cards that I've seen that have been
computer generated in all or in part have some indication on them that a
human being has examined them prior to their being mailed. It might be an
original signature, or a "verified by" stamp, sometimes both or sometimes
something similar. Regardless, it is some indication that more than just a
computer printout generated and verified the card.

A printed .jpeg file or similar graphic file will not, in and of itself,
have this type of independent verification on it. Regardless of the source.

Those who have seen the computer-generated cards I've been sending out the
last few years will note that every card has my signature (bad as it is) on
it... or at least it should, there's always the possibility that I slipped
up on one or two! The same for pre-printed cards I've done over the years
that have had mailing labels with the QSL information attached. This is my
"authentication" for the card.

Can someone fake a card if they really want to? Yes. Sure. It's been
done. That's not the point.

Look... the bottom line is that the ARRL holds QSL cards submitted to them
for awards purposes to the "gold standard" -- the highest level of scrutiny.
Why? Because, like it, believe it, or not -- the ARRL awards are held in
the highest of esteem and prestige. Even though many other awards out there
are or can be tougher to get -- take a look at the requirements for the
W-100-N award from WorldRadio, for example.

Having said that, though, no one is required to follow the ARRL guidelines
or requirements for QSL cards in general. So if someone chooses to use an
alternate method, such as eQSL or MyQSL or whatever, for whatever reason,
that is their business.

Just don't be upset if you choose an easier or cheaper alternative that
doesn't meet the ARRL's mark, and then find out afterwards that the cards
aren't accepted for that very reason.
