While Bernie has a lot of influence in DX circles, somehow I don't think the
UN or the ITU pay much attention to him. I seriously doubt that the ITU
issued the provisional government of the territory that may or may not
become an independant Palestine one day a prefix merely because Bernie asked
them to!

And of course Palestine, which is less of an actual
country than Somaliland, gets a prefix and DXCC
status. Guess it helps to have Bernie physically
present in the country ready to operate when the
voting on prefixes or such takes place.
