[Dx-qsl] DX1ABC for real ?

DX calls are club stations. He should have a DU call as an individual
station.
Many Filipinos go to sea as Merchant Seamen and get the radio bug from
unlicensed operation working phone patches back to family members and
buy Ham gear to use when back at home. He may have the ham radio bug
but never bothered to get a license.
He is on an outer island, away from Manila or any other large city. I
doubt if there is much NTC enforcement there for unlicensed
operations.
For the real straight scoop try "PARA" <[email protected]>. They
can tell you if he is licensed by the NTC. I would believe what DU1BP
and DU1SAN tells me, they are both officers of PARA, the DU ARRL.
