: [Dx-qsl] K1B LIST

Amen!

One other point, as I have beaten this to death myself, is that the =
DXpedition members should also consider the potential lost donations due =
to the chosen route. Lately, I have been adding a few extra GS to my =
requests to help defray costs on these DXpeditions. However, for K1B, I =
decided right off that I was not going to include any money above the =
cost of return postage due to the risk of it getting pilfered. If other =
hams did the same thing, then the DXpedition has missed an opportunity =
to recover some of their expenses from hams who would normally have been =
willing to contribute.

Normally I would agree with you on this Tony. However I think so many
people are afraid to say anything about this issue for fear of being
black listed. I am hearing from multi people who are very upset at
having to QSL direct to Russia, a known spot for not getting a return
QSL and having your envelope pillaged. Someone needs to say it so I
guess I will do so. Any DXpedition has the right to decide their QSL
route, however be aware there are some countries that are not good
choices. Russia is one of these countries. Nothing against the Russian
hams, just their sticky handed postal workers. DXpeditioners please
don't make the DX community QSL to Russia as it is a black hole for
getting QSLs.

I am going to make myself unpopular again.

My fingers are getting worn out from pressing the
       delete key.

Can we give this one a rest please?
