[Dx-qsl] Bureau Cards

It is with interest I have followed the thread on people sending a DX
station's QSL manager cards via the managers bureau.

I have managed some very rare DX, and I will you can rest assured... the DX
station... in most, if not all cases, DOES NOT NEED any more stateside
cards.  The DX station is doing US a favor, we are not doing him a favor in
working and QSL'ing him.

Some times the DX station is from a very poor country and cannot afford to
pay postage BOTH ways... yes, that is BOTH ways... for a stateside
station... If I understand what some have been saying... is that the DX
station should give his/her manager postage to get the stateside cards from
the managers bureau, then pay again to get the cards back to the original
senders bureau...

We must remember... the DX station... and his/her manager is doing US the
favor.... so I can fully understand the Russian station's posting that he
will not respond to cards he receives through his bureau.

Bottom line.... If YOU want the DX card, you should go out of your way to
make it easier by sending your card to the manager for the DX station
direct... including a little $$ in some cases to pay for the cards, and pay
for the coffee the manager has to use to make sure YOU get your card.
