Ken...right on the nose! It amazes me how many folks will spend a ton of money on rigs, antennas, cards, and envelopes, and try to save a penny or two on a stamp by re-using it.
At least in the USA...IF YOU have a stamp that is on an envelope, you can return it to the post office......i think there is a small amount (a percent or two?) charged for this service......but it' the clean way to deal with a unused stamp. Alternately, peel it off IMMEDIATELY....that usually keeps the glue intact and lets the stamp work another day. It's w hen you start slopping glue and using partially wripped stamps that the post office starts bouncing them, in my experience.
