ROD, et. al.:
What I usually do is write all the vital info from the QSO on the back
for the return envelope my call/dx call, date, time, freq. that way if
my card goes south when the DX station is handling his cards they can
still find me in the log.
Also today I received a card from Dragan, VE3FF, for my recent 7P8TA
operation and he used a plain white #10 business envelope with "here is
the information you requested" on the outside. Interesting since it
makes the letter appear to be just more business/junk mail hi hi.
Although I don't think there is that much problem with the US/Canadian
postal systems, but there is with many 3rd world postal systems. Also
interesting it only took Dragan's letter 2 days to get from Mississauga
Ontario to D/FW Texas. While In South Africa I sent my father a
birthday card on July 14 for his 81st birthday on July 31st. It arrived
Monday, even though I was sent air mail and mailed in a South African
post office in Jo'burg. The postcards I sent my grandson from 7P8
arrived 2 weeks earlier.
