[Dx-qsl] KU9C QSL status

Just to be fair, I'm mailing 300 cards a day...on average...HI...but when you consider I've probably received 30,000 envelopes since march.....that's 100 days of solid work if ONLY one qsl request were in each envelope and it was easy to work....and remember, that count starts when EVERYTHING is in place, NOT from the day I receive your envelope.
I've had a variety of commitments that have kept me from knocking this down faster than above...which I suspect most of you don't want to hear about. I'm STILL working PW0T, YA5T, BQ9P 2002 and the other calls. As contest season starts, I'm getting requests for the contest calls as well.
My plans are to attempt to get current in the very near future. I'm shooting for the end of the year...but I've got a few family commitments and a few days that are scheduled for some personal items I must attend to...
Suffice it to say,
If you have mailed your card, it's highly likely that I have it.
If you sent ONLY one request per envelope, you'll get your card back faster than if you sent two or more calls (and that includes, for example, bq9p 2002 and bq9p 2000). Frankly, if there are more than one card in an envelope, it's generally being worked as I can get to them.
I think my record stands pretty good that if you send me a card, you'll get one back. I'm running slower than normal, primarily due to the quantity of QSO's given out by the stations I manage in a relatively short period of time from March to July of this year. You will get your card.
This year, QSL managing has been over 40 hours a week for me. I read the comments on the reflector. If you have a problem with what I am doing, I'd ask you take it up with me, rather than rip me to shreads in a public forum. This is NOT a criticism of the comments read today on DX-QSL. But do a sort on KU9C in the announcements on the cluster, or read some of the special interest reflectors. I do...
I'll be clear on one thing. I'm not going to rush this process, and risk making errors, to get the cards out in some record time. My job is to accurately check your QSO requests against a log. I don't blanked issue every QSO in the log, I check each one, and attempt to make a judgement as to the validity of the QSO against the DX log. This is a painstakingly slow process...but it's one that ensures, to the best of my ability, the integrity of our hobby and the various awards such as DXCC. I could, for example, issue a BS7H card to everyone that requests a QSO. But, I check the log, CAREFULLY, and issue the card only if deserved. Ditto for every other station I manage.
I'll get the cards out as soon as I can, consistent with the above and the realization that I do try to have a life outside of QSL managing. If you're not satisfied with this, I'd appreciate an email to that effect.
