Back in the 1960's or 70's I redeemed them by the car loads and it came to a 
point where my postmaster asked me "why dont you take them to another 
postoffice"  I decided then and there to sell them.....about a month later 
this same postmaster approached me and asked " what happened, you stopped 
redeeming them, and Im getting calls from all over the Eastern seaboard from 
other postmasters asking me how the redemption is done"
Guess he felt famous among his fellow postmasters.
Soon after I moved my address to Edgemont, Pa.
