Hi agn,

Appreciate the comments and suggestions on the subject inquiry.

I received in part the following:

Hello, Phil.
4K1D is Novolazarevskaya base. WAZ zone is 38 (not 36), ITU zone is 67.
This was a club callsign of the base and now new call is R1AND.
For R3RRC/ant (Patriot Hills base) WAZ zone is 12.

Tnx Constantin for this information. I have added it to my log.

Tnx Jan for this info. I downloaded this and does indicate the
zones quite well on the map. Good example is the R3RRC/ant card
with a location of 80S 81W, shows the zone 12 nice however is
hard to tell the ITU zone. No big deal for what I am doing.

DXView will do that. If you enter a gridsquare or latitude/longitude, it
will plot the location on a world map that optionally displays CQ zone
boundaries, or ITU zone boundaries. DXView is free, and available via
www.qsl.net/dxview .

Tnx Dave and have tried this. It has a lot there but does not do the
conversion only from grid square/locator to zones. If you don't
put a
call in and just enter the grid square it won't come up with the
zones.

I thought there was a program or section of a program to compute this since
all are based on co-ordinates.

Tnx agn guys as your time is appreciated and will keep you posted on any
further results.
