[Dx-qsl] K1B: Mission Accomplished

With this tempest-in-a-teapot at full boil, let's not forget something here:
All Nenad did originally was offer to hand-carry the QSL requests that
included cash donations & personally deliver them direct to Hrane. This was
being done for the sole purpose of avoiding envelope pilfering by whatever
postal authorities the envelopes came in contact with. Nothing further was
promised nor expected.
I was part of the K3AIR syndicate to send a registered package to RZ3AA for
our SSB cards, to make sure that they arrived. Believe me, I'm much happier
that Mike sent our package to Nenad instead and that the extra money to pay
for postage and registration and so forth instead went direct to the
DXpedition!
I certainly was not expecting preferential treatment, and I would have been
just as happy if the cards had come direct from Europe instead of Canada.
And I'm willing to bet that the cost for Nenad to mail the cards from Canada
would save the K1B guys a few bucks, which could be put to offsetting
expenses (like getting cards printed and labels made up and so on).
Efficiently managing the costs of the DXpedition keeps the costs down, which
makes future DXpeditions affordable -- and I'm all for that.
I think the community owes Nenad thanks for making the offer and following
through on it, something that was above and beyond the "strict call of
duty," rather than take potshots at how the cards were handled.
Besides, the important thing is that the K1B cards are back from the printer
and being processed, right?
