Tom, et al,

I've been following this "string" for a bit, and
here's
my $.02....  

Before I was first licensed as a novice way back in
1967 I was an SWL'er.  I sent for cards, and the cards
came, though most of my requests were to commerical SW
radio stations.

I receive only a few SWL requests per year.  I confirm
all of them, usually direct.  

I guess I feel that confirming an SWL report is the
same as a request to confirm any other QSO.  I'm happy
to do it, if only for the reputation of our hobby.

In this hobby I try to hold myself to the highest
level of courtesey.  Confirming an SWL request is part
of that standard.
