       You don't have to be a novice to be an idiot. After collecting QSL 
cards since 
       1953 and also handling direct cards for a couple of DX trips, I 
thought I
       was infallible.

       I worked GD0TEP on 6 metres for a new one, and generously sent him
       a stamped addressed envelope. He e-mailed me, "thanks for the
       foreign stamp".
       The Isle of Man is only a bit of rock just across the water from here. 
I
       had not considered that it is very independent indeed from the rest of 
the
       U.K. and has its own postage stamps. So if you work GD, don't put
       British stamps on your s.a.s.e.
