Let me go ahead and put this out.....here is what I used to do before the days of computer labels.
If you get a swl request, use the following to answer the request
In the report block, your card usually says 'confirming qso with' or something. I scratch that out appropriately to read
'confirming swl report of'
where you would put the call sign of the ham you worked, put the SWL number, or whatever information you have. SOme do not have a SWL number, their name is usually sufficient.
Fill out the remainder of the card as you would the QSO, except the RST block...I usually put a 'X' thru that area.
and then return the card.
I get a lot of SWL cards...and I know many folks just toss them. Take the time to fill them out! I remember being in a ham shack in SIngapore, and on the wall was a SWL card I had filled out back in 1985....proudly displayed....some 13 years later...they mean as much to the SWL as the cards you receive.
