Hi Marty..
I just went through this.  I believe that what eQSL
wants to facilitate is "blind" confirmations, in a
effort to appease the ARRL.  In other words, you need
to enter your dates / times which will be compared to
the incoming eQSL request.  If your info. matches,
then the QSL is confirmed. 

I almost never log my domestic QSO's, and my PSK
contacts are on a different computer log.  I was able
to clear most of my inbox by uploading my log files.

If you have to do this manually, and don't have at
least a manual record, then you SOL, at best.
