Thanks for the word of warning Bob. Yes, I've been there before (not on
DSP10). Fortunately for right now, the slugs in all the coils are very
easy to turn. Maybe this needs to be "fixed" eventually so they don't
change position due to vibration -- a little wax or something might be
called for.
I had hopes at one time to use my DSP-10 on EME, but due to health, age,
etc. I don't think I'll ever make it. It is primarily the mechanical
part of dish positioning that is keeping me from it for the microwave
bands -- I have a couple 10 ft. TVRO dishes sitting in my field.
