My addition to the base wisdom was to use the circuit board as a templet
for the holes needed to mount the standoffs use to hold the board in. I
hope this will help someone.

A friend found a deal at Harbor Freight last month - an 8" drill press
for $40. We both got one. This is it's first outing. This is really
incredibly better for drilling holes than doing it with a hand drill.
Still, it doesn't make me smart enough not to drill holes in poor
places sometimes....
All the holes are drilled and final assembly is underway.
