Hi Luis,

I have thought about your problem, with nothing particularly useful resulting!

The F1 function does require disk access, that is different from tuning 
up-and-down.  If the help file is missing, it just ignores the F1, I 
believe.  I have done that, with no crashes, I'm quite sure.

Also, F1, after the clock update, plays with the locations from the CFG 
file, and does distance and bearing calculations that were not done 
originally.  Nothing about all this sounds like an obvious source of problems.

If F1 consistently causes problems, it might be a good one to concentrate 
on.  Also, it has multiple screens.  How many, if any, do you see?

In any event, please let us know how it goes.
