Hi Chris,

A few more thoughts for testing.

There is a diagnostic function to display data that is sent to the PC on the bottom line of the screen. To access this, turn on the scroll lock and scroll through the choices with the F3 (FUNCTION KEY 3) Key. The various options are consecutive, and the one we would like to see looks like this this one...

the one you should see just before this choice looks like this

it has a few reference ticks along the bottom. So when you see this one, the next one is the one we want.

The diagnostic line should have numbers that update frequently. We can take the updating to indicate the data is coming from the DSP-10, and the serial communication is working.

Turn off the scroll lock as soon as you are done with it.

What is the general lay out for testing ? Are you running DOS or WINDOWS ? What version ?? Do you have a floppy drive (A:\) ??

Did you install the Fast PTT option ?? What files are you using for loading, EZFAST or EZLD. If EZFAST is the file size 14,237 bytes ??

If you get back to testing with udiag1.exe make some notes and let us know how that turns out.

Good Luck !! 73
