[DSP-10] New Version 3.80

Hi Bob,

Its great to hear you are still at it.

I have been off the air for about a year and the old DSP-10 dedicated laptop died a horrible and ugly death (the screen became separated from the keyboard in an accident in Mexico). I have a replacement laptop running Win98SE and will be reassembling the system this weekend so your software release it timely for me.

In an effort to shorten my relearning curve:

1) Do all the new files have the same names (just new dates) so I can just replace them in their current locations?

2) What about quick booting without having to relaod the DSP card at power off?

3) The new laptop has a higher res screen (800 x 600). Will I still use only a portion of it with the current code? One of the reasons I used an old-old laptop was to fill the low res (by today's standards) screens.

Thanks!

Frank WB6CWN

Subject: [DSP-10] New Version 3.80

Hello All,

Lots of new functionality is available with the newly posted
download-version 3.80 of UHFA.EXE. The biggest addition is a new
time-keeping system that provides for several options ranging
from improved Manual Time Setting to fully Automatic Time Setting using a
variety of GPS options. An automatic hardware switch is available for the
GPS data, thanks to KC7WW and W7CQ. In addition, there are

*Distance and Bearing tables based on an expanded QTH list.
*100K of added memory for DOS Visits
*Much improved response of Beacon functions
*As the result of much effort by KD7TS and others, the HTML instruction
manual is expanded and up-to-date! Don't miss this one.
*The W7CQ Command summary is improved and updated. A great item

All of this and more is linked from the regular spot,
http://www.proaxis.com/~boblark/dsp10.htm Most of the material has
information and links near the top the swelling page! There are some other
items, marked "New" and "Update," so look it over.

Have fun, and share your results here!

73,
Bob Larkin W7PUA
