One user of the DSPx in the context of the Pic-A-Star project noticed a
loud noise from the audio system as a result of the monitor's default
audio loopback mode. This occurs when he leaves his microphone
connected to the radio.
I don't know if this is a potential problem with the DSP-10 or not.
I created a version of the monitor program that does not enable the
CODEC when the monitor is active.
If you are using a DSPx in your DSP-10, you can find links to the new
monitor code and how to load it at
<http://www.kk7p.com/dsp.html#Applications> and look at the 6th bulleted
item, which is about the Pic-A-Star project.
NOTE: If you don't see it, be sure to refresh/reload the web page, as
your browser may use a cached version from a previous visit.
I hope this is helpful to those of you using the DSPx in your DSP-10.

Lyle KK7P
