This mail from Ron was sent to me, but looks like the one for this
mailing list. So it is just being forwarded to here...

To all replying to this topic.
Thank you for the ideas and tips on how to remove the IC.
I decided to sacrifice the IC, because I don't rely on them after
removal. (and the value of the board is more than the component ...)
Any way I lost 3 pads doing that.
Pad 14 lost, no problem, this was only a pad, with no connection.
Pad 15 same thing.
Pad 16 minor problem, have to make a small bridge to C56, which is
fed from R44.
All in all scary stuff. I have never heard from Chip Quick, sounds to
good to be true. Will see if I can order it here in VK.
Who has a good source for the MC145170 (U7)
On Jiro's picture I also noticed that Q105 and Q106 where not mounted
as shown on the top Silk. Is that how they should be mounted.
Noticed theat the voltage regulators U103 and U13 had the same
problem. Is there more like this.
I mounted the Mixers under the board, had the feeling that this would
give better isolation and grounding to the mixer ... Any feedback
here ?
