Hi All,

I have just placed a new file xmon2f.zip on the web page
http://www.proaxis.com/~boblark/dsp10.htm
Search the page for, "DSPx Flash Monitor Loading Program"

This automates the process of loading a new monitor program to Flash Memory
Bank 0 of the DSPx. It consists of a DOS batch file, plus PC programs, with
scripting and error checking in both the batch file and the PC programs it
drives. The Flash Memory operations continue to be done by KK7P's FLASHUTL
program, http://www.kk7p.com/flashutil.html but are controlled by this
wrap-around program. The process is the same as shown on the FLASHUTL page.

You only need this if you need to update your DSPx monitor. The latest
version now is D.1. If you are not sure what monitor that you have, there
is a program included in the ZIP file, xf_term1.exe that runs on the PC and
prints out the sign on banner. The instructions for this are also in the
text file.

There is a text file that explains the operation. It appears a bit
laborious at first glance, but before you run the batch file, please take
the time to study the process. Also, during the loading operation, there
are instructions and messages on the screen. Read these carefully. They are
quite accurate, we believe, but not short!

Please report the results you are having with this process.

Special thanks go to Jimmy, W7CQ for many hours of testing and to Lyle,
KK7P, for much assistance.

73,
Bob W7PUA
