Hi Bob and the group.
After collecting some dust I am in the process of reviving my DSP-10. I have also replaced the PC with a Dos 6.22 box. I downloaded ver 3.17 UHF3 and UHFA and EZfast ver 1.03 and copied them over my existing .bat file entries.
I am now attached to a DOS 6.22 (Yes I know) box 450 mHz 32 Meg Ram, nothing special DOS box. Same cables etc. NO MOUSE set for PS/2 mouse in Bios
I get "Recieve Time Out" and a few hex characters accomanied by a loud beep from the DSP-10 speaker. The documentation that comes with EZFAST says these are a few of the rejected characters.?
I am using "EZFAST L 2 UHF3.EXE G" in my bat file.
Reading Dwight's DOC on EZFAST mentions something similar without too much in the "how do I fix it department". (Mouse Driver on same port diverting hex characters or something like that... He suggests running in pure DOS, which I think I am (ver 6.22)
As both the BOX and the software have changed in this transition/revival I will test the DSP-10 with another PC to ensure the DSP-10 is still sound.(Basic divide and conquer approach)
In the meantime, has anyone seen this, have a solution idea?
My goal "IS" to use the DOS box...
