[DSP-10] ADI Tools on Windows XP Question

Further to the query, if all of the files are OK the tools seem to work,
even though I get the 

   Unable to open lnk_errs.str

error message.

But, if there *is* an error so th elinker doesn't link the files, then the
error message telling what the problem might be is lost.  I just get
multiple

   Unable to open lnk_errs.str

error messages in place of meaningful diagnostic error messages.
